I'm a tutor who is currently based in Houston, Texas, where I enjoy playing board games, visiting historical sites, and watching movies when I'm not working with students. As a tutor, I'm able to provide lessons in a wide variety of subjects. Some of the areas that I can help students with are algebra, history, government, English, writing, and more. I've been working in the field of education since 2006 as both a tutor and a substitute teacher. I'm very good at connecting with the students that I teach. I generally try to use the connections I make with my students to learn about how they like to be taught and what exactly they're struggling with. In this way, I'm able to make individualized lesson plans for each of the students I work with. I then provide them with targeted exercises that help them overcome the specific areas that they're struggling the most with. There's nothing quite like the feeling I get when I finally help a student achieve a breakthrough in a challenging subject. That's why I'm so passionate about the field of education.
